I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
